JOB DESCRIPTION: Direct Support Professionals (DSP) assists individuals with daily living activities both at home and in the community. The DSP goal is to encourage individuals to develop their skills and be as independent as possible. The home activities can consist of cooking and serving meals, performing light housekeeping duties, accompanying to doctor appointments, running errands and providing companionship in a family style home environment. Community inclusion is a big part of services. Community activities can include outdoor community events, baseball games, shopping, errands, dinning, craft fairs, recreational, social gatherings, music, movies, and more —all enriching the lives of people with Developmental Disabilities.
